Our staff of board-certified neuropsychologists, psychologists, post-doctoral professionals, licensed professional counselors, and certified psychometry specialists has extensive experience evaluating and treating people with a wide range of brain dysfunctions.
Neuropsychological assessments help us understand how a disease or injury affects your brain function. We usually recommend testing when there are symptoms involving memory or thinking that may be due to medical, neurological, psychological or genetic causes.
Our behavioral medicine program focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of chronic medical conditions. Using cognitive-behavioral therapy principles, we help patients reduce stress, manage pain, comply with health management recommendations, and make lifestyle changes important to their health and well-being.
We also work closely with our fibromyalgia and Healthy Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery programs.

The evaluation will vary depending on the procedure you are considering. Generally, we ask about your current lifestyle, your understanding of lifestyle changes that will be necessary after the procedure, your ability to cope with stress, and your support system. We also assess your ability to follow the treatment regimen necessary for a good outcome.
