State-of-the-art technology to guide accurate diagnosis and treatment.
The Lancaster General Health Laboratory, accredited by the College of American Pathologists and the American Association of Blood Banks, offers an array of laboratory tests to help diagnose medical conditions and monitor the effectiveness of treatment.
Our professionally trained staff provides testing at locations in Lancaster, Lebanon and Chester counties, with walk-in and scheduled appointments for you convenience. Pathologists, or doctors who analyze tissues and bodily fluids, examine samples taken during testing and compare them to normal ranges.

Your doctor will tell you if any special preparation is required for your lab test. It is important to follow the instructions carefully since they can affect your results.
Blood tests can help check for certain diseases and conditions, measure how well your organs are working, and assess the effectiveness of certain treatments. Common blood tests include:
Your doctor might order a urinalysis to test for early signs of disease, monitor treatments you are having, check for blood, or diagnose a urinary tract infection.
