Providing comfort and strength during your hospital stay.
Chaplaincy Care and Clinical Pastoral Education teams at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health provide emotional and spiritual support for patients, family members, and staff, and training for pastoral caregivers in clinical ministry settings.
Chaplains serve in a complementary capacity with community clergy, and also provide support in emergency situations. Our team includes staff chaplains and chaplain associates, clinical pastoral education residents, a chaplain fellow in oncology, and a Roman Catholic priest who provides daily visitation and Eucharist for Roman Catholic patients.
Staff chaplains offer lectures and workshops for community organizations and local clergy, and serve as liaisons to area religious communities.
Patients and families may desire pastoral care when:
A chapel is located in the lobby of Lancaster General Hospital. A meditation room is located in the lobby of Women & Babies Hospital. Both are always open.
