National Nurses Week will be celebrated May 5 to 12, to coincide with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, known as the “Mother of Modern Nursing.”

At Lancaster General Health, we welcome our physician colleagues to drop in to any of our Nurses Week celebrations:

  • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 8, Duke St. Cafeteria: Healthcare Careers Open House will feature PA College of Health Sciences advanced-degree programs.  We also will have representatives from colleges that offer CNS, CRNP and doctoral nursing programs.

  • 7:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, WBH Conference Room: WBH Nightingale Breakfast and Awards

  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, ABBCI Seraph Conference Center: SOP, ABBCI and LGHP Nightingale Refreshments and Awards

  • 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 11, Stager Conference Center: LGH Nightingale Tea and Awards

  • 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 12, Stager 3 & 5: Nursing EBP Conference: “What Would Florence Do? How to Use EBP in Everyday Practice”
