Neuroscience Institute opens at 2150 Harrisburg Pike

The Lancaster General Health Neuroscience Institute has opened on the second floor of 2150 Harrisburg Pike.

The Lancaster General Health Neuroscience Institute has opened on the second floor of 2150 Harrisburg Pike. The $1.4 million, 22,000-square-foot institute offers a full spectrum of care, from diagnosis and medical management to recovery.

An interdisciplinary team of physicians and therapists with wide-ranging expertise works side-by-side to treat patients with neurologic concerns ranging from stroke and movement disorders to memory issues, concussion and headache.

The institute’s services will include:

• Neurology

• Electro-diagnostics

• Neuropsychology

• Alzheimer’s and Memory Care

• Physiatry and outpatient rehabilitation

• Specialty programs focused on dizziness and balance issues, spinal cord injuries, movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, post-concussion syndrome and headache

The institute also will offer educational programs and support groups. Teleconferencing capabilities will increase collaboration with Penn Medicine, including discussion of diagnosis and treatment options, and increased opportunities to participate in clinical trials.
 

The institute’s collaborative approach will increase care coordination and convenience for patients. Staff is available to answer referring providers’ questions, direct to appropriate resources and serve as consultants. Updated information on a patient’s care plan and progress will be readily available to referring providers via Epic.
 

LG Health Physicians Family Medicine Lincoln has moved its practice located within Urgent Care Ephrata to a new location at 1261 Division Highway, Suite 1, Ephrata.

The office was previously located at 895 E. Main St., Ephrata. In addition to the new location, Family Medicine Lincoln’s main office remains open at 1635 W. Main St., Ephrata.

The new office is located in the same building as the LG Health Specialty Center Ephrata, offering patients convenient access to specialist appointments and related services. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
