The Edward Hand Medical Heritage Foundation, in cooperation with LancasterHistory.org, will present
“Geriatrics in Lancaster County – Past, Present & Future,” 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at the Lancaster History Campus, 230 N. President Ave.
J. Kenneth Brubaker, M.D., will speak on the origins of geriatrics as a medical subspecialty and its subsequent exponential growth over the past 17 years, describing the benefits, outcomes and future directions of geriatric care.
Dr. Brubaker is a board-certified geriatrician and member of the LGH Medical & Dental Staff. He is past director of the Geriatric Program and Fellowship, and current co-director of Masonic Village Hospice.
Reception, 4 to 4:30 p.m.; event, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Ample off-street parking is available.
