Thirteen Physicians Complete LGH Family Medicine Residency Program

Thirteen physicians graduated from the Lancaster General Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program June 30.

The graduates and their new practice locations:

• Chevon Alderson, M.D., will practice at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego, California.

• Katherine Allport, D.O., will join LG Health Physicians Family Medicine Mount Joy.

• Steven Aussenberg, M.D., will travel and spend time with his wife and son.

• Jenna Fox, M.D., will join Highland Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., as a maternal-child health fellow.

• Elyse Goveia, M.D., will continue her career as a Geriatrics Fellow at LGH.

• Tiara Heisey James, M.D., will join LG Health Physicians Family Medicine Abbeyville.

• Lara Kobrin, M.D., will practice at LG Health Physicians Family Medicine Abbeyville and Comprehensive Care.

• Laura Leaman, M.D., will practice full-spectrum family medicine and join the faculty at LG Health.

• Cindy Martinez, M.D., MS, will join LG Health Family Medicine Twin Rose and continue prenatal care and deliveries with the residency program.

• Phebe Matsen, M.D., will practice at Gateway clinic in Portland, Oregon.

• Brianna Moyer, M.D., will join the faculty at LGH.

• Laura Urbanski, M.D., will join the Indian Health Service in Zuni, New Mexico. 

• Kristina Zimmerman, M.D., a National Health Service Corps Scholar, will join a federally funded health center in New York’s Finger Lakes Region.

Jon H. Schrock, M.D., receives the Henry S. Wentz, M.D., Award from Dr. Christine Stabler at the residency graduation ceremony. The award, named in honor of the former chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, is given to a member of the LG Health Medical & Dental Staff who has excelled in medical education, teaching, patient care and service to the hospital and the community.
