In February, the School District of Lancaster’s board of directors approved the opening of a school-based health center at the McCaskey High School campus. This fall, LG Health/Penn Medicine will provide onsite healthcare services for students there.
The McCaskey Campus Health Center will expand access to services such as health screenings and immunizations for students who may not otherwise be able to visit a doctor.  LG Health/Penn Medicine currently operates three centers at elementary schools in the district and has provided physicals, immunizations and immediate medical attention to thousands of children in school-based health centers there.
Keeping students healthy, active, engaged and in school are the goals of LG Health/Penn Medicine’s school-based health centers.  While this is the first local high school setting for these centers, its goals remain the same.
