Apply to Become a Well Workplace in Lancaster County

For many citizens of Lancaster County, many of our waking hours are spent in the workplace. Wellness culture during the workday can contribute to a person’s better overall health and well-being. In 2007, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health founded Lighten Up Lancaster County (LULC) to work with local businesses to create a healthier atmosphere at work and in the community.

LULC encourages local businesses to complete the CDC Worksite Health Scorecard each year to evaluate their wellness programs and set goals for adding new best practices. The Scorecard teaches how to promote physical activity, nutrition, mental health, and tobacco-free living in the workplace. 

Businesses who complete the Scorecard and earn a platinum, gold, silver or bronze Well Workplace Award are recognized by LULC.  

All businesses that apply are invited to attend Central Penn Business Group on Health and LiveWell Lancaster’s Health Summit on May 30, 2019. The Summit will take place at the PA College of Health Sciences to recognize the accomplishments of the Well Worksites and announce Well Workplace Awards to small and large employers in the County.
