I joined The Heart Group in Fall 2015. My time is largely split between the office and hospital, seeing patients admitted with advanced heart failure, or cardiac problems resulting from chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I also care for patients who had heart transplants and those with mechanical heart pumps. My medical school training included advanced training in the care of patients with left ventricular assist devices.
At Virginia Commonwealth University, I completed a Physician Scientist training program that included three years of dedicated research. I served on the institutional review board and hospital organ procurement committee, and now serve on Lancaster General Hospital’s Institutional Review Board. During my training, I was co-investigator on several clinical trials, and now serve as principal investigator on a number of clinical research studies taking place in Lancaster.
In 2018 I was honored to be voted by my peers and the Pennsylvania Medical Society as one of the “Top 40 Physicians Under 40” in the state.
