Healthiest Communities Rankings
The Healthiest Communities rankings show how 3,000 U.S. counties perform in 89 metrics across 10 health and health-related categories. These rankings show the broad range of community issues that influence health, from the physical environment and transportation to equity and education.
Each county receives a score for each category, which is weighted by a panel of experts in population health. The data were collected from well-recognized and validated sources, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Census Bureau, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
This tool is helpful for showing metrics across different sectors that can be used to measure community well-being. It is also useful for comparisons, because the metrics are available for many counties across the U.S. However, it may not have the most current data for Lancaster County, and it does not show you data from past years.
