The Lancaster General Health Experience
What to expect before, during and after an arm lift procedure
After you share what you would like to achieve during your consultation, your cosmetic surgeon will explain the steps of the arm lift procedure, which may include liposuction.
We will provide instructions on how to prepare to help your surgery go smoothly, including any foods, drinks and medications to avoid.
During surgery, your cosmetic surgeon will remove extra skin along the arms, perhaps using liposuction to enhance the overall contour. This outpatient procedure typically takes place under general anesthesia.
You’ll wear compression bandages after surgery to support your new contours during the healing process. Although many people return to work after three weeks, full recovery usually takes six weeks.
We will follow up with you to make sure you’re avoiding strenuous activities and heavy lifting. Any discomfort you may experience during recovery can be managed through medication your surgeon prescribes.
Arm lift costs
The cost of an arm lift varies depending on your treatment goals and other services you may also undergo. We will discuss the cost of your arm lift during your consultation.
Arm lift procedure risks
Like all surgery, arm lift surgery poses a risk of complications, even though the surgery itself is typically very safe. Our team will check in with you during the healing process and are always available to answer any of your concerns.
