The Lancaster General Health Experience
What to expect before, during and after a body contouring procedure
First, you will discuss your goals with your surgeon. Your cosmetic surgeon will then tailor a body contouring plan to create the new self you envision. The procedures we offer include liposuction, tummy tuck, breast lift, arm or thigh lift.
We will provide instructions on how to prepare for surgery and help your procedure go smoothly. This will include any foods, drinks and medications to avoid. Typically, body contouring procedures take place under general anesthesia.
You will wear compression bandages after surgery to support your new contours through the healing process. We will check in with you throughout your recovery to make everything is going smoothly. You can expect some discomfort during your recovery which can be managed through medications your surgeon prescribes.
Body contouring costs
The cost of body contouring varies depending on your treatment goals and other services you may undergo. We will discuss those costs during your consultation.
Body contouring procedure risks
Like all surgery, body contouring surgery, poses a risk of complications. Pre-existing conditions may make some patients more prone to infection. Bariatric surgery patients often have complex health issues that may require more healing time.
We will check in with you throughout the healing process and are always available to address your concerns.
