What to expect during liposuction
Our cosmetic surgeon will discuss your goals with you prior to your procedure. Liposuction is often used in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures. Your surgeon will share details to help you achieve your desired self.
During a liposuction procedure, your surgeon will make a small incision near the fat removal area. Then, using a small, hollow tube (called a cannula) attached to a suction machine, your surgeon will remove excess fat and skin, if necessary. Our standard tumescent liposuction technique decreases bleeding and bruising after surgery.
We will give will give you instructions on how to care for yourself before and after surgery. This will include a body stocking to help control bleeding and swelling. Depending on the extend of the surgery, most people return to work three days to two weeks after treatment.
Liposuction cost
The cost of liposuction varies depending on your treatment goals and other services you may also undergo. We will discuss cost during your consultation.
Liposuction risks
Like any surgery, liposuction comes with risks like infection and scarring. Other risks include skin rippling in the treated area and pigment changes after sun exposure. You can help prevent complications by following our pre- and post-surgery instructions.
