The Lancaster General Health Experience
What to expect during BBL
The aesthetician cleanses skin and applies ultrasound gel to the area being treated. The patients receives protective eyewear. Using the Sciton’s Broadband Light hand piece, the aesthetician delivers light energy to the skin, helping stimulate collagen while addressing redness and/or discolorations. The sensation typically feels like a rubber band snap and, depending on how much damage is present, the sensation could be more intense.
The healing process breaks down red and brown pigments into smaller particles that your body eliminates through its immune cycles.
BBL cost
Depending on your treatment goals and other services you may undergo, photofacial costs vary. We will discuss the cost of a BBL during your consultation.
BBL procedure risks
Broadband light treatments are non-invasive and generally very safe. Some people do experience slight discomfort, minor swelling, redness and brown spots may appear darker. These side effects normally subside a few hours after treatment. If you have a history of cold sores, we recommend obtaining an anti-viral medication through your PCP prior to being treated. Our skin care specialist will discuss any risks prior to your procedure.
