Aesthetician Christy Gladfelter has always had a passion for makeup and helping people look and feel their best. A side job as a Mary Kay representative turned that passion into a career path.
“My experience as a beauty consultant influenced me to learn more about skincare and the overall health of the skin. You can apply all the makeup in the world, but if don’t start with the basics of healthy skin, makeup won’t make a difference.”
In 2008 Gladfelter graduated from the Lancaster School of Cosmetology where she specialized in aesthetics, using different techniques and devices to rejuvenate skin, lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, diminish discolorations while promoting an even skin tone, giving skin a healthy glow.
Following graduation, she worked in salon and spa environments, including medical spas.
“Working at a medical spa opened my eyes to cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, and more results-oriented versus feel-good treatments,” recalls Gladfelter.
Gladfelter has a strong commitment to creating rapport with her patients, and says building trust allows her to effectively guide them in their skincare journeys.
“Many skin issues that patients face often require multiple treatments with different modalities to treat and correct their concerns,” she says. “It’s a journey. It took years for these issues to develop and will take time to correct.”
Gladfelter offers an array of personalized cosmetic treatments, including:
- Microneedling
- Chemical peels
- Laser skin rejuvenation
- Laser hair removal
- CoolSculpting
- Medical-oriented facials
"Not everyone will respond to treatments the same way. We all have different skin,” says Gladfelter. “I look forward to helping every patient have the best aesthetics experience possible and obtain the beautiful skin you’ve always wanted.”
