When retired junior high teacher Ted Fitzgerald had a cough that just wouldn’t quit, he turned to Lancaster General Health. Doctors discovered a small spot on the upper right part of his lung. A biopsy revealed that Ted had stage 3 lung cancer.

LG Health worked with Penn Medicine to coordinate state-of-the-art proton treatment at Roberts Proton Therapy Center. "If it weren’t for the doctors at Penn Medicine and Lancaster General Health, I wouldn’t be sitting here talking to you today," Ted explains.
