A Life-saving Liver Transplant Gives a Grandmother the Best Gift of All

“This Mother’s Day was really great, because last Mother’s Day, I didn’t think she’d be here,” explains Colleen Baker’s daughter Andrea.

Thanks to the care Colleen received at Lancaster General Health and a life-saving liver transplant at Penn Medicine, Colleen is active, getting stronger, and enjoying time with her grandchildren.

After LG Health doctors determined Colleen needed a liver transplant, they connected her with the team at Penn Medicine.

“Lancaster General Health and Penn Medicine bent over backwards for me and my family,” says Colleen. “It was a long road but there was always light at the end of the tunnel.”
