Back In The Driver's Seat: Levi’s Story of Double Knee Replacement

Before his knee replacement surgery, it was impossible for Levi Hoover to get into the coach bus he drives without grabbing hold of the railing and pulling himself in.

Now, when passengers watch him easily climb up and down the steep steps, they are amazed to learn he had double knee replacement. And Levi is always eager to share the story of his journey from constant pain back to an active life.

“There are definitely things you take for granted before you experience bad knees,” said Levi, who chose to have his knee replacement surgery at the Lancaster General Health Orthopaedic Center.

“I really appreciated the team at Lancaster General Health,” said Levi, who credits the team with helping him prepare for surgery and successfully manage his recovery. “They took care of me every step of the way. I felt like I was the only patient there.”
