Mary's Story: Exceptional Breast Cancer Care Close to Home

“We have resources here that are state of the art. We have resources here that are convenient. We have resources here that are compassionate,” says breast cancer survivor Mary Depoe.

When a screening mammogram revealed a questionable area in her breast, Mary was told she should have a follow-up six months later. She received a reminder letter and phone call from Lancaster General Health, and after a repeat mammogram, was diagnosed with breast cancer.

As a nurse practitioner, Mary truly understands the value of good care. And the care she received locally at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health during her breast cancer journey exceeded all expectations.
