Instructions

This medicine is used to irrigate the bladder. DO NOT inject this medicine.

Carefully follow the instructions for preparing this medicine before use.

Keep the medicine at room temperature. Avoid heat and direct light.

Do not freeze the medicine.

Discard any remaining medicine.

This medicine is usually given through a urinary catheter by a trained health care provider. If you are using this medicine at home, carefully follow all instructions.

Keep the medicine in its original container.

Use only if the solution is clear and the container is tightly sealed and free from damage. Do not use if it is cloudy, contains particles or has changed color.

Wash your hands before and after using this medicine.

If you miss a dose, contact your doctor for instructions.

Keep using this medicine for the full number of days that it is prescribed. Do not stop the medicine even if you start to feel better.

Drug interactions can change how medicines work or increase risk for side effects. Tell your health care providers about all medicines taken. Include prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal medicines. Speak with your doctor or pharmacist before starting or stopping any medicine.

Tell your doctor if symptoms do not get better or if they get worse.

Side Effects

Call your doctor or get medical help right away if you notice any of these more serious side effects:

  • pain and discomfort in the bladder
  • fever or chills
  • blood in urine

A few people may have an allergic reaction to this medicine. Symptoms can include difficulty breathing, skin rash, itching, swelling, or severe dizziness. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek medical help quickly.
