Instructions

Keep this medicine at room temperature.

This medicine is for use in the nose. Avoid getting the medicine into the eyes or mouth. Rinse the eyes with water if the medicine is sprayed into the eyes.

This medicine should be used after a migraine headache starts. It should not be used to prevent a migraine headache.

Ask your doctor, nurse or pharmacist to show you how to use this medicine correctly.

Keep the medicine in the package until you are ready to use it.

Blow and wipe your nose with a clean tissue before using this product.

Sit up straight or stand while spraying.

Do not tilt your head while using the spray or right afterward.

Insert the tip of the spray bottle into the nostril and point it toward the top of the ear on the same side as the nostril. Breathe in gently while pressing down firmly on the pump to deliver one spray.

Avoid sneezing while using or just after using the medicine to make sure full dose is absorbed.

Drug interactions can change how medicines work or increase risk for side effects. Tell your health care providers about all medicines taken. Include prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal medicines. Speak with your doctor or pharmacist before starting or stopping any medicine.

If you are also using a nasal decongestant spray, wait at least 1 hour before using the decongestant.

Tell your doctor if symptoms do not get better or if they get worse.

Throw away the medicine after use. Do not save to use again later.

Do not share this medicine with anyone who has not been prescribed this medicine.

Do not take the medicine more than once during 24 hours.

Do not freeze the medicine.

Cautions

During pregnancy, this medicine should be used only when clearly needed. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine.

Using this medicine for 10 or more days in a month may make the headaches worse.

It is unknown if this medicine passes into breast milk. Ask your doctor before breastfeeding.

Side Effects

  • nausea
  • changes in taste or unpleasant taste

A few people may have an allergic reaction to this medicine. Symptoms can include difficulty breathing, skin rash, itching, swelling, or severe dizziness. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek medical help quickly.
