Isabelle Lawler

Temple University - 2023

I grew up in Collegeville, PA and moved to Philadelphia for college. I attended Temple University where I received a dual degree in Chemistry and Psychology. After undergrad, I received my PharmD from Jefferson College of Pharmacy. When the pandemic hit, I moved back home and worked at a local independent pharmacy, helping to vaccinate thousands of community members. Through this I grew to love public health. My desire to give back to the community and build my clinical skills led me to a PGY1 at Lancaster General Health. My current clinical interest are geriatrics and critical care. Outside of pharmacy, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family while exploring new places. I also am a proud cat mom!

Major Research project:  Dosing of bivalirudin in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
MUE: Fixed Dose PCC vs Weight based PCC for warfarin and DOAC reversal
Committee:  Geriatric Fracture Prevention

Alexis Jeschonnek

University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy - 2023

I am from Reading, PA and am excited to move closer to home to complete my PGY1 residency after receiving my PharmD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. During pharmacy school, I worked as a pharmacy intern at Weis Markets Pharmacies in the Lancaster and Reading areas. During my rotations, I really enjoyed both my inpatient and outpatient experiences and am excited to continue to learning in both settings throughout this year. After my PGY1 year, I intend to pursue a PGY2 position in either ambulatory care or cardiology. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, going on hikes with my dog, and trying new restaurants.

Major Research project:  Chair time optimization in a community cancer center: assessment of removal of daratumumab premedications
MUE: Frequency of DPP4 inhibitors and GLP1 receptor agonist concomitant us
Committee:  Heart Failure Workgroup

During pharmacy school I developed a passion for learning and patient advocacy, which inspired me to apply for a PGY1 pharmacy residency at PMLGH. My current clinical interests are infectious disease, ambulatory care, emergency medicine, and critical care. Outside of pharmacy, I am excited to explore the Lancaster area, especially the local restaurants. Some of my interests/hobbies include weightlifting, DIY projects, and attending live music events.
