In offices throughout the area, our compassionate providers offer counseling, psychiatry, and other treatments for a wide range of conditions, including addiction and depression. We also work closely with Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital, a partnership between Lancaster General Health and Universal Health Services, Inc.

We Offer a Broad Array of Behavioral Health Services Throughout the Community 

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health offers a broad array of behavioral health services with an aim to provide the right care at the right place at the right time. Our team of physicians, counselors, therapists, nurses and other health-care professionals address potentially life-threatening disorders, such as substance use, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and severe depression, along with less debilitating but common conditions, such as anxiety and less severe mood disorders.

  • Integrated behavioral health counselors located at all primary care practices and some specialty care practices throughout the health system, which gives patients the ability to see a counselor at their family doctor's office
  • A behavioral health specialty practice that offers psychiatric evaluation and medication management.
  • Opioid addiction treatment program for patients with substance use disorders through primary care practices throughout the community
  • An interventional psychiatry program that provides specialized treatments for patients who have psychiatric conditions such as depression, and are not successfully responding to other treatment options. Interventional treatments include transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy and ketamine.
  • Behavioral health evaluation area in the Emergency Department at Lancaster General Hospital for assessment of acute behavioral health crisis
  • Behavioral health intervention team that provides 24/7 behavioral health assessment, intervention and referral resources for hospitalized patients at Lancaster General Hospital, Women & Babies Hospital and in the emergency department
  • Several clinicians from LG Health Physicians Behavioral Health are also part of a team providing care to women in a unique environment at our Women's Specialty Center. The Center offers personalized primary and specialty care in one convenient location in the medical office building at Women & Babies Hospital.
  • Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital, an inpatient facility offering treatment for adolescents and adults in partnership with Universal Health Services, Inc.
  • Counseling services provided to students through the wellness center at Franklin & Marshall College
