Types of Endocrine Disorders

The endocrine system is a complex network of glands and organs that use hormones to control the body’s many functions. Some of the hormonal disorders our experts treat include:

  • Type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, gestational diabetes (temporary while pregnant) and other metabolic conditions
  • Thyroid disorders, including hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism and complex thyroid cancer cases
  • Adrenal disorders
  • Pituitary disorders
  • Sexual development, function and reproduction conditions

Our Locations for Diabetes and Endocrinology Care

Care and educational resources are available for people with diabetes and endocrine disorders at the following locations:

  • LG Health Physicians Diabetes and Endocrinology, a specialty practice offering advanced care for diabetes and other endocrine disorders, with locations in Lancaster, Ephrata, Elizabethtown, Lebanon and Parkesburg. Our Lancaster location includes a combined multispecialty practice with LG Health Physicians Maternal-Fetal Medicine to help patients manage gestational diabetes, a type of diabetes that can develop during pregnancy.   
  • Primary care practices including family medicine, internal medicine and Roseville Pediatrics.
  • The Diabetes and Nutrition Center, our outpatient counseling center.
  • Lancaster General Hospital, inpatient care for diabetes and endocrinology.

Endocrinology Care

Our board-certified endocrinologists treat people with diabetes, adrenal disorders, hyperthyroidism, pituitary gland disorders and other diseases of the endocrine system.

Diabetes Care

Our multidisciplinary team of experts addresses all aspects of care for type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, and gestational diabetes.
