The Pharmacy Department at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is committed to providing patients with safe, effective, quality medication at competitive prices. In addition to inpatient services, we operate the Convenience Pharmacy, serving patients, and employees and their families, through locations at Lancaster General Hospital, the Suburban Pavilion, and the Kissel Hill and Columbia outpatient facilities.

Our pharmacists play an important role in your care. They review your medications and may coordinate with other health-care providers to manage your medical conditions. Our team:

• Reviews your existing medications and checks for any allergy or drug interactions for new prescriptions
• Provides prescription information including benefits, side effects, and any special conditions
• Offers private consultations to help you understand how your medications work together

We offer prescriptions for patients seen by Lancaster General Health clinicians at any of our hospitals, family practices, or outpatient locations. We also offer a selection of over-the-counter medications, health and beauty aids, first aid supplies, and a variety of other health-care items.

Billing and Insurance

We accept most prescription plans. Some insurance policies will not reimburse medication costs. Please check with your insurance provider about your coverage. If you have a prescription card plan, you will be responsible for the co-payment at the time of service. We accept personal checks and most major credit cards.

Get Faster Service

Ask your physician to call or fax your prescription information. Your physician can also submit prescriptions online through LG Health’s electronic medical records system. You can request prescription refills from participating providers through MyLGHealth, our convenient and secure online portal.
