Michael R. Ripchinski, MD, MBA, CPE, FAAFP, FACHE

Dr. Ripchinski serves as Chief Physician Executive for Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. He provides executive and administrative leadership for Lancaster General Health Physicians and the Lancaster General Hospital Medical & Dental Staff. Dr. Ripchinski is accountable for appropriateness of care delivery, and creating a culture of high reliability.

Dr. Ripchinski joined LG Health in 2003 and previously served as Chief Clinical Officer, Physician Executive for Quality, and Chief Medical Information Officer. As a recognized community leader during the COVID-19 pandemic, he was the executive responsible for the Lancaster County Community Vaccination Center. The Central Penn Business Journal recognized Dr. Ripchinski on the Power List for Health Care in 2021 and 2022. Nominated by Gov. Tom Wolf and unanimously confirmed by the PA Senate, Dr. Ripchinski also serves on the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology and philosophy from The University of Scranton and earned his Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University. A graduate of Penn State College of Medicine, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a Certified Physician Executive. He is board certified in family medicine and clinical informatics. Dr. Ripchinski cares for patients at Walter L. Aument Family Health Center in Quarryville, PA.
