Lancaster General Hospital maintains an all-hazard emergency operations plan which includes response to multiple and mass casualty events. The plan addresses all four phases of emergency management activities: mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

We conduct an annual hazard vulnerability analysis which helps drive our emergency management efforts. We also conduct training annually and hold emergency exercises to test our emergency response capabilities.

LGH is a member of the South Central Task Force and the South Central PA Healthcare Coalition. These organizations coordinate emergency management planning on a regional basis and include hospitals, EMS agencies, behavioral health and long-term care facilities, and business and industry partners.
