As part of your annual membership fee, you have unlimited access to our direct primary care providers. We offer quick scheduling and longer appointments that allow you to focus on building a relationship with your provider. Our goal is to simplify how you access your health care.
What Are Direct Primary Care Practices?
Our direct primary care practices offer personalized wellness and sick care at convenient, dedicated locations throughout the region. These practices are part of Penn Medicine HealthWorks, an innovative primary care program designed to help improve the health and well-being of our community. With our direct primary care practices, members have access to our exceptional health care services.
- Our primary care model: Doctors, medical assistants, and licensed vocational nurses lead our practices. We offer same-day or next-day in-person and virtual appointments, starting on time with no wait. You get as much time as you need. Wellness visits last between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on your time constraints, and sick visits are scheduled for shorter periods. Regardless of the reason for your visit, your provider spends ample time with you to talk through your concerns and create a comprehensive care plan. With on-site testing, medications, and blood draws, you leave with a clear, actionable treatment plan.
- How it works: HealthWorks memberships are open to all community members except those on Medicaid plans for an annual commitment paid in quarterly, biannual, or annual installments. This membership fee of $1,100 annually per adult and $700 annually per child gives you, your spouse, children, and other dependents unlimited access to our direct primary care practices. Call or text us via our secure mobile app whenever you want an appointment. Timely scheduling allows you to get the care you need quickly.

- Quick care coordination: Our practices use integrated health records that give your provider a full picture of your health. We can communicate easily with other members of your care team and see what tests or treatments you’ve already had. Thanks to our association with the broader Penn Medicine community, we can seamlessly coordinate specialty care anywhere across the region when needed.
- Convenient services: Our practices provide multiple blood tests and prescription medications on-site. You leave with a clear treatment plan and any necessary medicines for you or your child, saving you an extra trip to the laboratory or pharmacy.
- Cost-efficient services: We understand that health care can feel overwhelming and expensive. Our simple model includes your membership fee plus any relevant insurance billing, giving you access to concierge levels of medicine with a lower price tag. Our annual fees are competitive with the average cost of concierge medicine. You get unlimited access to a provider who helps you improve your overall health and lower your risk of chronic disease, ultimately saving money in out-of-pocket health care costs.

Direct Primary Care Services
Our direct primary care practices provide a range of services, including:
- Annual physicals, sick visits, and wellness checkups
- Blood tests, such as basic metabolic panels and complete blood counts
- Common prescriptions, such as steroids and antibiotics
- Flu shots and other vaccines
- Minor procedures, such as wart or skin tag removal, mole removal, stitches, or small biopsies
- Rapid testing, including for COVID, flu, strep throat, urinary tract infections, lipid panels, blood sugar, or hemoglobin A1C, with quick results
