Diagnostic imaging, including conventional X-rays, CT, fluoroscopy, mammography and nuclear medicine, plays a vital role in detecting diseases and other medical conditions. We take proactive measures to minimize the small but acknowledged radiation risk in our diagnostic imaging exams, including:

• Imaging practices that reduce radiation while maintaining image quality
• Staff education on radiation safety
• Regular monitoring of patient doses and equipment output by radiation physicists
• Breast, gonadal, thyroid, and eye shielding
• American College of Radiology accreditation
